Home Full Body Strength Training Workout

For all fitness levels, 4 to 5 rounds

Reps are determined by available equipment/weights, but please note the rule of thumb is, “leave 2 to 3 reps in the tank” you don’t want to go to complete failure.

Squats – Place your bodyweight back on heels, feet shoulder width apart, chest up, back neutral from this starting position, drop hips below knees, then drive up by pressing heels to the floor, squeeze glute, hamstrings and quads at the top of the movement.

SL Deadlift – Place feet hip width apart, load in left hand, stand with good posture having shoulders and core engaged, back neutral, and a soft bend in right knee from this starting position. Hinge forward at the hip lifting left leg off the floor shifting weight to right leg, while keeping your back neutral, once you feel some tightness in your right hamstring or your back is parallel to the floor pause for 2 seconds, then return to the starting position by lowering left leg while squeezing your glutes and hamstrings.

SA Floor Press – Place weight in your left hand, with your back on the floor, knees bent at a 45 degree angle, core engaged, squeeze your glutes, left arm is bent at a 45 degree angle this is your starting position. Press the weight slowly over the chest and squeeze pectoral muscle at the top of the movement, return to the starting position with the same slow and controlled movement.

2 Point Row – Place feet in a staggered stance, with weight in your left hand, left leg extended behind your back, with right leg in front, about a 45 degree bent in right knee, back is neutral, core engaged this is your starting position. With your left hand start with a slow and controlled movement driving the weight towards your belly button at the top of the movement, pause for 2 seconds, return to the starting position with the same slow and controlled movement.
